Hadnall CofE Primary School

Safeguarding

At Hadnall Church of England Primary School we take our safeguarding and child protection duty extremely seriously.  Children need to feel safe and be safe in order to flourish and live life in all its fullness.  At Hadnall safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.

'Ensuring our children are kept safely from harm and educated in an environment where all God's children are valued is of the highest priority...Full flourishing is only possible when each and every member of our school communities feels totally safe and secure wherever they are, and fully connected with others'. Flourishing for All: September 2024.

We systematically review and update our policies and implement new guidance from Shropshire's Safeguarding Children Board (SSCB).

Our staff receive Child Protection training at least every three years and our Designated Leads update their training every two years.

Our Designated Lead is Mrs Finola Jackson (Headteacher). The Deputy Safeguarding Leads are Mr Hardy Wilmot and Miss Amy Evans. Our Safeguarding Link Governor: Mrs Jenny Marston

We are proud to have an active Safeguarding Squad made up of children from Years 4, 5 and 6. Mrs Pitt trains this group to build up skills and knowledge to support others and to share key messages. They also hold regular 'pop up' sessions where pupils can call in for a chat and discuss any worries or concerns they may have.
