Safer Schools

Congratulations to Hadnall Church of England Primary School on maintaining the Safer School accreditation. The school was accredited a Safer School in 2008 and recently Mrs Jackson held a Safer School meeting to update the school’s involvement in the security/safety initiative. The meeting was well attended by staff, pupils, a governor, a parent and myself representing Shropshire Council. We reviewed security/safety measures, prepared an action plan and reviewed the incident reporting process. An essential element of this initiative involves communication and the school achieves this by holding an annual Safer School meeting, parent/carer/pupil surveys and newsletters. The survey results from the parents/carers and pupils were excellent and included both positive and constructive observations – all useful information. The meeting concluded with the school receiving a new Safer School certificate and a future meeting is planned for Spring 2025 – Excellent work.
